Yext is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join its growing and dynamic accounting team. This is a hands-on position with a mix of revenue accounting and operational duties. This role will be responsible for assisting in the day to day transaction processing and accounting, preparing account reconciliations in connection with the close process, and performing financial analyses on an as-needed basis.
This role is fully on-site in our Hyderabad, India office.
What You'll Do
- Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and roll-forwards relating to cash, accounts receivable, and undeposited funds
- Analyze and reconcile large volumes of data in Excel from various internal systems and the general ledger to provide business insights
- Review revenue transactions to ensure compliance with the company’s revenue recognition policies under ASC 606
- Perform financial account analysis the provide meaningful explanations for fluctuations
- Assist in implementing new accounting policies and procedures
- Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility, including preparation of audit schedules
- Participate in streamlining and process improvement projects, enhancing the internal controls over accounting processes and systems
- Prepare schedules and reports for management and financial reporting
- Support management in ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests and other tasks as assigned
What You Have
- BA/BS degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience, including experience in the SaaS or software industry
- Working understanding of US GAAP
- Ability and willingness to work shift hours to support the U.S. team during critical close periods, often aligning with U.S. working hours
- Ability to execute, follow-up, and ensure attention to detail
- Commitment to process improvement and the ability to think “out-of the box”, including an interest in exploring new technologies to improve automation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A team player, adept at building relationships across the organization
- Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask
- High degree of dedication to improvement and strong sense of ownership
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication (both verbal and written) skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Word) is required, including the ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data
- Prior experience working in an international business environment

- CA or working towards completing a CA
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, Zuora, RevPro, Floqast, Blackline, Tableau or equivalent system
