Here’s a summary of the role:
Reporting to the Revenue Accounting Manager , this role will support the YouGov group in accurately recognizing the revenue correctly. The role requires a good understanding of order to cash processes such as invoicing, collections, account receivables, order management, sales order review, order processing and order fulfilment.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do (not all of it, just the important stuff):
Using the IFRS 15 checklist, approve sales orders for US, UK, Europe, Canada and LATAM.
Identify multi element deals, calculation of fair valuation and submitting the fair value impact on reporting dates.
Month end Revenue closing entries and adjustment entries.
Balance sheet adjustments between contract assets, liabilities and deferred revenue offset adjustments.
Ensure the SOX controls in revenue process are followed.
Working on key projects to review contract assets and liabilities balance on periodic basis to ensure reported balance are correct.
Identify potential opportunities for system automations in Revenue Process.
Building relationships with regional Finance Teams and the Sales Operations team to establish ways of working.
Prepare monthly revenue dashboard & MIS reporting
These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview:
5 or more years of experience of accounting domain.
Knowledge on revenue accounting is preferred.
Experience of using NetSuite and Power BI preferred.
Attention to detail to ensure accounting entries are correct.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong service orientation/responsiveness
Excellent Excel skills
IFRS 15/ASC 606 experience preferred
Ability to draft papers to justify accounting decisions
Experience of process improvement
Shift Time - Monday to Friday (11.00 am to 8.00 pm IST)
