About this role
The Aladdin Business Development group within BlackRock is responsible for developing new client relationships for the Aladdin Business. This includes understanding the requirements of prospective client organizations and leading consultative sales processes that demonstrate and highlight the value of Aladdin to the specific prospect organizations.
The Aladdin Business Proposals (ABP) Team within the Aladdin Business Development Group is responsible for producing all Aladdin RFP/RFI/due diligence questionnaires and sales/marketing materials and publications. The Aladdin Business is recognized in the industry for its professional and high-quality proposals. Business Proposal professionals must have a solid understanding of Aladdin functionality and workflows and ability to think creatively to match up prospect requirements with Aladdin capabilities, and produce timely presentations and publications to demonstrate how our services meet both client and industry requirements.
Purpose and Scope:
The ABP Team within the Aladdin Business Development Group is seeking an Associate with RFP writing, corporate communications, and/or consultant relations experience to join our team. The candidate will play a key role in implementing scalable proposal (RFP/RFI/DDQ) processes, coordinating and writing proposals, producing sales/marketing materials and mentoring team members.
Role Description:
- Managing the end-to-end RFP/ RFI process from evaluating an opportunity to submitting the final response
- Writing high-quality, customized RFP responses about our firm, support model and Aladdin functionality
- Liaising with subject matter experts throughout the business to articulate Aladdin’s capabilities and value proposition in written communications
- Oversight of central knowledge database
- Proposing and implementing improvements to the RFP process to increase efficiency, quality and success of RFPs
- Develop knowledge across the full range of BlackRock product and systems
- Help shape firm and product narratives
- Collaborate with many teams across the firm and interact with professionals at all levels
- Hold advanced project management, written and verbal communication, and client service skills
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in the financial industry, preferably including new business proposal (RFP) writing for an investment or risk management technology company, editing, collaborative writing, or project management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding academic achievement, CFA a plus
- Familiarity with capital markets instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives), Asset / Portfolio / Wealth Management’s Business life cycle.

- Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team and excel in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
- Ability to adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects
