Role Description

The Sales Data & Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing the integrity, analysis, and reporting of Sales and Commercial data across the organisation. This role ensures accurate CRM data management, delivers automated dashboards, generates actionable insights, and supports forecasting and governance adherence.

The role will act as the central data authority for Sales and Commercial reporting, partnering closely with Sales Leadership, Finance, Commercial Office, and other key stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Organisational Design


Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & CRM Data Management

  • Ensure accurate collection, validation, cleansing, and maintenance of Sales and CRM data.

  • Establish data governance standards and controls to maintain high-quality datasets.

  • Monitor data completeness, consistency, and integrity across pipeline and revenue data.

  • Implement processes to ensure compliance-by-design within CRM workflows.

  • Act as the primary point of accountability for sales data accuracy.

2. Reporting & Dashboard Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated dashboards and management reports.

  • Provide clear visibility into sales performance, pipeline health, conversion metrics, and commercial KPIs.

  • Standardise reporting frameworks across global sales teams.

  • Ensure timely production and distribution of reporting outputs to leadership and frontline teams.

  • Continuously enhance reporting automation and efficiency.

3. Insights & Commercial Intelligence

  • Translate data into actionable insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.

  • Identify performance trends, risks, and improvement opportunities across regions and products.

  • Provide analysis to support pricing, deal structuring, client engagement, and profitability optimisation.

  • Deliver meaningful intelligence to Management, Frontline, Finance, and Commercial Office stakeholders.

4. Forecasting & Trend Analysis

  • Develop and maintain robust sales forecasting models.

  • Analyse pipeline trends, conversion rates, and revenue projections to support planning and resource allocation.

  • Enhance forecasting accuracy through data modelling and predictive analysis.

  • Provide analytics to support deal governance, margin protection, and commercial controls.

5. Change Management

  • Support rollout and adoption of new CRM tools, reporting systems, and governance processes.

  • Contribute subject matter expertise to change planning and execution.

  • Drive user adoption through training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Ensure smooth transition and integration of new reporting frameworks.

6. Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement

  • Build strong working relationships across Sales, Finance, Commercial Office, and senior leadership.

  • Demonstrate non-authority-based influence to promote data discipline and reporting standards.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reporting quality, speed, and consistency.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on sales data strategy and analytics.

 

 

Experience required

  • 6–10+ years of experience in Sales Analytics, Commercial Reporting, Sales Operations, or Business Intelligence roles.

  • Strong experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or equivalent).

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

  • Strong analytical, modelling, and forecasting capabilities.

  • Experience in building automated dashboards and management reporting frameworks.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and strong commercial acumen.
