The Sales Development Representative qualifies leads for sales, engages prospects, conducts outreach, and collaborates with marketing teams.
About the Role:
As a Sales Development Representative, you are responsible for qualifying leads at the initial stages in the sales funnel. You must research potential clients, connect with and educate prospects and qualify leads before handing them off to the closers of the sales team.
What will you do:
- Identify and qualify inbound and outbound leads through targeted outreach—including cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and chat systems—ensuring alignment with CleverTap’s ideal customer profile and value proposition.
- Engage with prospects to understand their business needs, spark interest in CleverTap’s solutions, and position our offerings effectively through personalized communication.
- Work closely with the sales team to research target accounts, stay informed on market trends, and tailor outreach strategies to customer pain points and industry dynamics.
- Schedule and coordinate discovery calls, meetings, or product demos between qualified leads and Account Executives to move opportunities forward.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead data in the CRM system, track activities, and provide regular reports on pipeline health and lead generation performance.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation quotas, while contributing to the ongoing refinement of outbound strategies and playbooks based on insights and best practices.

Must have:
- 2+ years of B2B Sales experience
- Fluent in English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to accept and learn from constructive feedback
- Proven ability to work and succeed in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Efficient at gathering, analyzing, and communicating customer and market research.
- High attention to detail with an “everything matters” approach
- Creative, inquisitive, and curious approach to partnering with internal and external teams and customers.
- Comfortable moving between priorities and managing deadlines across multiple areas of focus. Skilled at prioritizing tasks and time
- Committed to proactive collaboration and accountability; you are prepared, informed, and ready to go
Good to have:
- SaaS sales experience is a plus
- Experience with digital productivity, collaboration, and sales tools including; Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Slack, and G Suite
- Knowledge of MarTech solutions
