The Role:
We are seeking a Salesforce Data Quality Specialist to support the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of core data across our Salesforce and BI environment. This role is responsible for maintaining clean, reliable records across key Salesforce objects, enforcing data standards, resolving data issues, and ensuring that Salesforce data remains a trusted source of truth for commercial operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other stakeholders by ensuring that critical Salesforce data is well-governed and high-quality.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain and enforce data quality standards across key Salesforce objects (e.g., Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Leads, custom objects
- Identify, investigate, and resolve duplicate Accounts; perform merges in accordance with company rules and data governance guidelines
- Monitor Salesforce data for missing, incomplete, or inaccurate fields and take action to correct issues
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams to resolve data inconsistencies and improve data entry practices
- Collaborate with IT to refine validation rules, field requirements, and workflows that support data quality
- Document, standardize, and improve Salesforce data quality processes; assist in user training on proper data entry procedures
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and duplicate records
- Understanding of Salesforce data structures, including relationships between standard and custom objects
- Ability to analyze and diagnose root causes of data quality issues
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple requests and tasks simultaneously
- High degree of ownership and accountability for data quality outcomes
Minimum education and work experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience working with Salesforce data, preferably in Sales Operations, CRM support, or data stewardship roles
- Experience reviewing, correcting, and maintaining Salesforce records across multiple objects
- Proficiency with Excel; familiarity with Salesforce tools for data import and deduplication preferred
- Experience with data cleansing tools (e.g., Plauti, Validity, DataGroomer) and a BI tool (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
