We are looking for a Commerce Cloud B2C - Technical Architect to support the full implementation lifecycle, from scoping to deployment in an evolving ecosystem consisting of Clients and Partners.

The Technical Architect will be responsible for technical design and delivering to our customers on the B2C Commerce Cloud platform.The architect will also be responsible for maintaining, on an ongoing basis, a comprehensive understanding of the cloud-computing ecosystem. This role will specialize in Commerce Cloud B2C, but should have the ability to develop cross-cloudsolutions with SFDC, SFSC, OMS etc. TAs at Salesforce are both a big picture thinker and in-depth problem solver, your knowledge and skills are both broad and deep. They take pride in designing systems that stand up to high volumes and won't fail at critical points. You have a good mix of technical and enterprise skills when it comes to architecting a solution. The solutions you design are built for the long-term and will scale with the customer's growth plans seamlessly. You have proven experience integrating systems via API’s as well as a strong development background.
 

At Salesforce the Technical Architect will be part of the GDC - Salesforce Professional Services group, which includes technical and functional subject matter experts on implementing, using, and optimizing Salesforce B2C Commerce, in addition to digital commerce and omni-channel best practices within Salesforce product ecosystem. This individual will play a strategic role by
using their more technical and functional oriented skill sets to advise, service and support the customers. In this role, one must drive ongoing innovation and collaborate with our Customer Success teams using up-to-date programs and tools to assist our customers in achieving successful outcomes, and growing their business on the Salesforce platform.

Responsibilities:

● Work closely with Clients, Colleagues, and Partners to clarify, define and architect technology solutions to meet client
business requirements. This includes advising during project discovery and definition phases, creating scope and
development estimates, and documenting requirements and designs.
● Implement and guide development team on Commerce Cloud for industry best practices and Salesforce frameworks.
● Play & excel in the role of an individual contributor becoming the trusted “Go-To” for anything to do with B2C Commerce
Cloud implementation & delivery
● Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform
● Perform performance evaluations and identify optimization opportunities on developed solutions. Implement and design
for scalability and high availability.
● Lead technical design sessions, architect and document technical solutions aligned with client business objectives
● Identify and work on internal initiatives to grow the Architect and Consulting practice; contribute to the overall knowledge
base and expertise of the community.
● TA is expected to participate in pre-sales activities such as Discovery/Design, technical deep-dive sessions, Proof-Of-
Concept (POC) development with prospects.
● Innovation and Problem Solving: Identify and evaluate capability gaps, recommending standard product enhancements
or creative custom solutions to maximize customer success and adoption.

Basic Requirements:

● 9-14 years of professional technology experience with at least 6 year of hands-on experience on Salesforce B2C
Commerce Cloud.
● Strong background in design/development of large web-based systems, or complete software product lifecycle exposure
● Knowledgeable about the B2C Commerce product feature set, use cases, and industry verticals to which they apply.
● Experienced in custom development on B2C platform using Controllers, Models, Forms, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, HTML
● Be able to build custom UI web design on B2C Commerce & customizations
● Good Knowledge of B2C 3rd party integrations, and and available plugins.
● Expert in Business Manager configurations, administration and extensions
● Knowledge of digital commerce integration such as Payments, CMS, DAM, PIM, OMS, and ERP
● Exposure to B2C Data Model and OOTB capabilities
● Experienced in integration of systems using web APIs
● Familiarity with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth)
● Be knowledgeable of cross-cloud capabilities and solutions to drive customer value.
● Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and
deployment methodologies
● Experience with platform security capabilities (TLS, SSL)
● Work with customer teams to promote maximum use of native capabilities throughout the entire implementation and
release lifecycles.
● Be able to implement commerce best practices for our customers’ B2C commerce sites.
● Support project team to ensure Salesforce B2C services are properly engaged with both the Customer and Customer
implementation teams or Systems integrators.
● Understand customer's commerce success metrics and help drive (fit for purpose) solutions to achieve results.
● Review and implement customer projects as per the available artifacts e.g. scope documents, requirements, design
documentation
● Strong problem-solving, analytic, conceptual, and critical thinking skills
● Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
● Salesforce certifications: B2C Commerce Developer, B2C Commerce Architect

Preferred Requirements:

● Salesforce Commerce Knowledge: Knowledge in Salesforce Order Management and Salesforce B2B/D2C Commerce
● Salesforce Knowledge: Additional Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Administrator, Experience cloud, Experience
implementing Salesforce Clouds, Multi-cloud scenarios - Sales, Service, Industries or Marketing)
● Technical Familiarity: Familiarity with Salesforce’s technical architecture: APIs, Standard and Custom Objects, APEX, AI
concepts, Customer Data Platforms or Data Lakes
● Solid understanding of Object-Oriented design and programming (Java, Python, C++, etc)
