Job DescriptionThe Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scrum Master and Agile Coach to join our team at Flywire. This role is essential for advancing our Agile maturity, driving delivery for our Go-To-Market (GTM) and enterprise technology teams, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. This person will lead multiple teams in adopting and optimizing Agile practices, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of critical business capabilities.
Your goal is to ensure our GTM teams operate effectively and predictably, adhering to best practices while continuously improving their processes and delivery cadence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agile Facilitation and Delivery: Lead the facilitation of all core Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Impediment Removal and Tracking: Proactively identify and remove obstacles, manage product backlogs, track team velocity, and monitor sprint progress to ensure the timely delivery of project goals.
- Process Governance and Improvement: Drive continuous process improvements, including defining and implementing JIRA ticket templates, intake processes, and workflow stages to ensure clarity and goal commitment.
- Cross-Team Alignment and Coaching: Lead the Scrum of Scrums once every two weeks to align the teams, manage dependencies, review conflicting requests, and resolve blockers. Coach the team on agile best practices
- Collaboration and Partnership: Work closely with Product Owners (PO/PM), Tech Leads, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, prioritize tasks, and guide feature prioritization.
- Mentorship and Adherence: Coach and provide guidance to team members, ensuring adherence to established Agile principles, coding standards, and deployment processes (CI/CD) where applicable.
Here's what we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience working in Agile Scrum environments, with a strong track record of successful project/program delivery.
- Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in an Agile Coach capacity, driving process adoption and managing change across multiple technical teams.
- Expert-level knowledge of JIRA for backlog maintenance, sprint management, and tracking sprint metrics and dashboards.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements and process concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
- Proven ability to resolve conflicts, foster a collaborative team environment, and work with cross-functional leaders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with GTM systems or Enterprise Systems (e.g., Salesforce, CPQ, Workday).
- Experience with DevOps tools or deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
- Additional certifications such as Certified Agile Coach (CAC) or SAFe certification.
