About this role
Role Overview:
The ServiceNow Test Analyst plays a critical role in validating the functionality, performance, and reliability of the ServiceNow platform. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and ensuring that solutions meet business requirements and user expectations. The analyst will work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, CSM, HRSD, and ITOM.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Design
Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases based on business requirements and system specifications.
Define acceptance criteria and ensure accurate test coverage.
Execution of Tests
Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing across ServiceNow modules.
Validate workflows, catalog items, and integrations.
Automation
Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework (ATF).
Utilize other automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Cypress where applicable.
Defect Management
Identify, document, track, and report defects.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting.
Collaboration
Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Support UAT efforts by validating that implemented solutions meet real-world user needs and business requirements.
Documentation
Maintain detailed documentation including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports.
Skills and Qualifications:
ServiceNow Expertise:
Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CSM, and HRSD.
Experience with ServiceNow ATF and scripting (JavaScript).
Testing Tools:
Proficiency with ATF and other automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Cypress).
Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman for REST and SOAP integrations.
Agile Methodologies:
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).
Active participation in Agile ceremonies.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to tailor communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
Soft Skills
Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving technologies.
Effective in managing competing priorities.
Strong active listening and conflict management skills.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
Required Qualifications:
2–3 years of experience in software testing with a focus on ServiceNow applications.
Solid understanding of STLC and defect management best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Certified System Administrator
Certified Application Developer
Experience with JIRA, Git, and Confluence
