Position Title: Senior Scrum Master, PMO

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. This role requires a highly skilled and motivated professional who has extensive experience in agile practices and methodologies, with a proven track record of facilitating successful sprints, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and delivering high-quality outcomes. As a Senior Scrum Master, you will play a key role in driving the adoption of Agile processes, coaching teams, and ensuring that our delivery process remains efficient and focused on meeting the needs of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agile Facilitation: Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint retrospectives, sprint demos, and backlog grooming sessions.
- Sprint Planning & Capacity Management: Lead sprint planning sessions, ensuring that user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with the team’s capacity. Help the team understand scope, dependencies, and timelines.
- Backlog Grooming: Collaborate closely with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the backlog, ensuring that the team is always working on the most valuable items.
- Continuous Improvement: Facilitate and encourage continuous improvement through sprint retrospectives, identifying opportunities to enhance team productivity, efficiency, and collaboration.
- JIRA & Confluence Management: Manage the team’s work in JIRA, ensuring that tasks, stories, and epics are properly documented, tracked, and updated. Use Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Metrics & Reporting: Track and report sprint progress, velocity, and team performance. Provide visibility into the team’s progress to stakeholders and ensure that goals and objectives are met within the agreed timelines.
- Demoing Deliverables: At the end of each sprint, ensure the team demonstrates the completed work to stakeholders. Be able to present work in a clear, concise, and impactful manner.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on sprint goals, product vision, and timelines.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify risks, issues, and roadblocks, and work with the team to resolve them. Escalate issues when necessary to keep projects on track.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of experience working in Agile environments with a strong focus on Scrum methodology.
- Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or equivalent Agile certifications are preferred.
- Tools Expertise: Extensive experience using JIRA and Confluence for tracking and managing agile projects. Technical proficiency with Atlassian (JIRA and Confluence)
- Agile Knowledge: Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and best practices for Agile delivery.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen focus on resolving challenges that impede team progress.
- Team Collaboration: Proven experience in creating and maintaining a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Advanced Agile Techniques: Experience with advanced Agile techniques such as Lean, DevOps, or Continuous Delivery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, UX/UI, and operations.
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe): Experience with SAFe or other scaling frameworks is a plus.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in fast-paced, evolving environments while maintaining focus on team objectives.
