Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and quality-driven Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our QA team.
In this role, you will not only build and maintain automated testing solutions, but also drive best practices in test automation across the team. You will collaborate closely with developers and QA engineers to ensure scalable, reliable, and high-quality software delivery.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical automation expertise with a growth mindset, proactively improving automation strategies, mentoring team members, and helping shape the future of our test automation architecture and quality engineering practices.
*Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Lead the design, development, and scaling of advanced automation frameworks using Java and Playwright for both web browser and mobile platforms.
Mentorship & Influence: Act as a technical mentor for junior QA members, conducting code reviews for automation scripts and promoting best practices in software engineering.
Quality Ownership: Drive the automation strategy for complex features, including API (backend) and UI (frontend) testing, ensuring best coverage achievable by automation .
Continuous Improvement: Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering.
Test Automation Expertise: At least 3 years of hands-on experience building and maintaining robust automation frameworks (Java, Playwright, Maven, Allure).
Leadership Mindset: Proven ability to take ownership of projects, influence team decisions, and guide others toward technical excellence.
CI/CD Integration: Strong experience with Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to automate test execution within the deployment workflow.
Cross-Platform Testing: Proficient in testing and automating both web-based desktop applications and mobile devices.
Problem-Solving & Communication: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Language: Professional proficiency in English; Proficiency in Japanese is a strong plus
