Shift Time: 9:30 PM – 6:30 AM IST
Location: Remote, India
You will:
- Own and perform advanced month-end close activities, including capitalization of internal used software, complex allocations, intercompany eliminations, and full-scope subsidiary reviews to ensure accurate and complete consolidated financials.
- Prepare and post elimination and consolidation journal entries and perform intercompany reconciliation and reporting.
- Conduct in-depth GL account analysis, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, and deliver variance/flux explanations for P&L and balance sheet accounts.
- Manage all aspects of the close cycle for assigned entities — including accrued compensation, accrued expenses, prepaids, leases, fixed assets, capitalizations, and intangibles etc.
- Review and validate subsidiary books, ensuring alignment with US GAAP.
- Support cash management activities such as bank reconciliations, cash flow tracking, and intercompany settlements.
- Handle ad hoc requests related to financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Support audit and management reporting requirements with accurate and timely deliverables.
- Assist management reporting, financial analysis, and inquiries, offering insights into trends and fluctuations.
- Participate in cross-team training and coverage planning, ensuring adequate backup and knowledge sharing within the accounting team.
- In exceptional situations, step in to assist other functions such as Billing or Accounts Payable when business needs arise.
- Assist and support other non-month end ad hoc projects or requests.
- Assist with supporting income tax, business tax filings, and business registration renewals, coordinating with external tax advisors and internal teams.
- Partner closely with the U.S. accounting team and Controller to ensure smooth coordination across time zones, proactive communication, and alignment on close deliverables.
- Adopt an AI and automation mindset: proactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate recurring tasks, and enhance accuracy and scalability of accounting processes
You Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- 6-8 years of experience in accounting for a US company
- Deep understanding of US GAAP and full-cycle accounting close
- Proven ability to connect the dots across accounts and systems, identify issues, and implement solutions independently
- High sense of ownership — accountable for the full financial book of assigned entities and responsible for related ad hoc or urgent requests
- Advanced Excel skills and strong experience with large data sets
- Experience with Oracle Fusion preferred
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently under pressure while meeting tight deadlines
- Comfortable working in PST hours and maintaining high collaboration with the U.S. accounting and finance teams
