Job Summary

As a Senior AI Engineer II, you will be partnering with product managers, software engineers, and data labelers to derive value from our ever increasing data set of home and consumer data sources, particularly by extracting property attributes from text and image data.
Your team has autonomy to evolve the projects and platform with modern ideas and practices and will continue to streamline model building and deployment allowing rapid turnaround from concept to deployment. The current Machine Learning stack is based on Python, using Feast, Flyte, and BentoML among other tools to allow the team to focus more energy on solving business problems.
What You’ll Do As A Senior Software Engineer I
- Own the full machine learning lifecycle from research to production, leveraging Computer Vision and NLP techniques (e.g. BERT, ViT) to extract insights from unstructured data
- Evaluate and integrate modern AI and foundation model capabilities (e.g., vision-language models, embeddings, or retrieval-augmented approaches) into production systems where appropriate.
- Partner with product, operations, and engineering to translate business problems into high-impact machine learning or AI opportunities
- Advocate for sustainable tradeoffs, architecting solutions that balance product needs and long term goals
- Design experiments to quantify the business impact of machine learning models
- Collaborate with other MLEs on tooling improvements for model training and deployment
- Utilize our MLOps stack to drive feature engineering, model training, and data analysis
- Write robust, production-grade Python code to productionalize feature engineering, model training, and deployment
- Participate in the on-call rotation to assist engineers in troubleshooting
What You Will Bring As A Senior Software Engineer I
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or four years of equivalent work experience)
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in machine learning and applied statistics, with a strong command of fundamental concepts
- A curious and driven individual who likes to work in a trustful, respectful, and collaborative environment
- Proven track record of leading high-impact ML initiatives from concept to production, demonstrating the architectural foresight to deliver immediate business value while championing the technical sustainability of the end-to-end ML lifecycle
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and A/B testing models in production
- Ability to communicate effectively in both business and highly technical contexts
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, modular, and testable code, applying software engineering best practices
- Experience working with relational databases and cloud solutions (e.g. Postgres, Google BigQuery, Google Datastore, and Google Cloud Storage)
- Experience in python data stacks, e.g. Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn and Matplotlib
- Proven experience working with US based business teams.
- Excellent written and communication skills in English language.
- Must currently reside in or are located within 150 km of Greater Delhi NCR, Greater Bangalore, or Greater Pune
- Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (PST) overlap
- Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload

Pay Range*: INR 2,137,500 - 2,992,500 INR annually
