Design and implement scalable AI workflows and agentic systems that automate complex business processes. Build production LLM/RAG solutions, prototypes, and integrations with cloud and data infrastructure. Collaborate with product and leadership, establish best practices, and mentor engineering teams.
Develop AI workflows and agentic platforms to help solve complex problems at scale that normally require human intervention. Work closely with both the core AI engineering team and top level leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on design and implementation of sophisticated AI workflows and agentic systems that automate complex business processes
- Design and operationalize scalable AI systems, ensuring robust integration with Pattern’s technology stack, data infrastructure, and business workflows.
- Collaborate with product and business teams to identify high-impact opportunities for AI implementation
- Develop proof-of-concepts and prototypes to validate AI approaches before full implementation
- Establish best practices, coding standards, and architectural patterns for AI development
- Contribute to the company's AI strategy and roadmap in partnership with leadership
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML systems
- Strong Python programming skills with experience in modern AI frameworks and libraries- Deep understanding of LLMs, RAG systems, fine-tuning, and agentic AI architectures
- Experience building production AI systems that solve real business problems at scale
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and containerization technologies
- Strong system design skills with experience building distributed and fault-tolerant applications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring other engineers
Nice to Haves
- An understanding of ingesting, administrating, and integrating unstructured data on a massive scale (transcripts, conversations, documents, and more)
- Experience with platforms like n8n that allow rapid building of AI workflows
- Experience with frameworks like Langgraph, Strands, or Mastra in a system like AgentCore for the deployment of production level agentic systems.
- Experience with eval platforms like Opik, Langfuse, BrainTrust, or Arize.
7-10 years of experience in software engineering, with demonstrated expertise in AI systems development and deployment and minimum 2 years in ML in more recent years.
