- Ensure corrective actions identified as a result of incidents, breaches, near misses and external audits are fully completed and effectively embedding into the relevant operational team’s processes.
- Act as a good team player, supporting colleagues, sharing information, getting cross-trained and offering assistance when needed.
- Manage to achieve the outstanding items at minimum.
- Prepare/ Update the process notes in timely manner as required.
- Suggest feasible improvements to the process, achieve continuous productivity and quality improvements.
- Extensive follow-up with various teams and Banks for analysis of receipts and Payments
- To assist in any audits taking place and clear any audit points that are raised within the timescale given.
- Maintain and implement personal development plan in partnership with immediate manager.
- To demonstrate a positive risk, compliance and control culture through the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks and issues within the business area, alongside ensuring timely and appropriate resolution of control weaknesses, actions and failures that arise.
- Stakeholder management for internal (Finance Teams within the M&G, Business Project Support Teams) and external (Third party administrators/data providers, UK Regulators such as HMRC) counterparts.
Knowledge & Skills (Must Have) :
- Good understanding of transactional accounting especially bank and suspense accounts
- Working knowledge of Oracle ERP and Reconciliation tool is advantageous
- Knowledge of Excel (including advanced excel functions)
- Good analytical skills and determination to complete a task
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to details
- Problem solving skills
Knowledge & Skills (Additional) :
- Knowledge of Word and Power-point
Experience:
- Working in a reconciliation and/or accounting role
- Good understanding of reconciliation procedures
Educational Qualification:
- Graduate with 5+ years of relevant experience or Post Graduate (MBA Finance) with 3+ years of experience.
OR
- Chartered Accountant with 1-2 years of experience (MNC experience preferred).
