In this leadership role, you serve as a senior technical resource for the organization, regularly interacting with other senior managers. You are an internally recognized expert in packaging development and packaging engineering. In this role, you identify, define and solve complex business problems by applying broad technical and consumer knowledge as well as an in-depth understanding of packaging technologies related to Mondelēz products.
How you will contribute
You will lead packaging projects or teams to design, develop, optimize and specify materials that deliver consumer benefit through new products, quality improvements and cost-savings opportunities. To do so, you apply industry-leading technologies and tools and leverage supplier relationships while effectively managing intellectual property rights. To excel in this position, you will deliver solutions on time and on budget using project management methodologies and providing status updates to stakeholders. You will also provide technical leadership for packaging development and packaging technologies by: continually updating your business-relevant expertise; driving the technical development of people by teaching, coaching, mentoring and identifying future technical leaders; defining and sharing technical best practices, and; influencing the technical direction of the business.

- Successful track record in project management and implementation of new ideas.
- An exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, resourcefulness and resiliency in the application and development of highly advanced technologies; Extensive experience in designing experiments/work tracks to land solutions, grounded in sound data, that meet technical and equipment program requirements.
- Demonstrated thought leadership and drive for results, with ability to formulate strategy while planning and problem solving in a dynamic and outcome-oriented environment.
- Ability to lead and drive action through multi-functional and multi-cultural teams.
- Ability to leverage internal and external resources and working in a highly matrixed environment.
- An affinity for innovation and resiliency in the face of challenges.
- Strong technical network, inclusive of suppliers, technology partners, universities, and research institutes.
- Continually advances knowledge in area of polymers, polymer/material technology/packaging applications with a primary focus on flexible films.
- Aware of different modelling disciplines and software that can help R&D (for ex: Finite Element Analysis, MiniTab, L6S); Understands and can assist with driving digital adoption into R&D Community.
- Ability to coach and inspire junior developers in packaging community.
- Strong influencing capabilities with the ability to effect change internally throughout the MDLZ organization (supply chain, procurement, marketing, R&D) and externally with supply chain partners.
