Job Title: Senior Associate - Technical & Investment Sourcing
Job Summary
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing contract administration, managing contractual risks, handling claims and disputes, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. This role safeguards the company’s commercial position and supports successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and amendments. Align with Global Legal team to finalise contracts based on Indian requirements. Interpret contract terms and provide guidance to project teams. Ensure compliance with contractual conditions and company policies. Monitor contract performance and obligations. Maintain organized contract documentation and records.
Procurement Negotiations
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
- Source quotations and negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and procurement documentation.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
- Track orders and resolve issues related to delays, quality, or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reports.
Claims Management
- Identify potential claims (variation orders, delay claims, disruption claims, etc.).
- Prepare, evaluate, and submit claims with supporting documentation.
- Assess claims received from clients, subcontractors, or suppliers.
- Lead negotiations to resolve disputes and minimize financial risk.
- Coordinate with legal teams on complex disputes or arbitration cases.
Risk Management
- Identify commercial and contractual risks.
- Develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project risks and recommend corrective actions.
Change Management
- Review and process variation orders.
- Ensure proper cost and time impact analysis.
- Track changes against contract baseline.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with project managers, finance teams, procurement, and legal departments.
- Support senior management with commercial reporting.
- Participate in meetings with clients and subcontractors.
Required Qualifications
- Preferably bachelor’s degree in law, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5 to 8 + years of experience in contract and claims management.
- Strong knowledge of contract law and standard contract forms (e.g., FIDIC etc.).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and documentation abilities.
