About our team
As a member of the Automation Engineering team, you will work on producing mission-critical platforms, tools, and processes that will ensure the highest levels of availability and reliability of all our applications. We need creative and innovative problem solvers who can partner with our application development teams to make their services more useable. Responsibilities
- Develop automation code for provisioning and operating infrastructure at massive scale.
- Work with development teams to make sure the applications are production ready, scalable and reliable from the grounds up.
- Develop code to integrate the automations with ticketing tools like service now.
- Proficiency in integrating multiple tools, platforms using their APIs (REST, SOAP) and command lines.
- Identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for code deployment, management and visibility of application services.
- Should be able to mature idea into requirements and build solutions based on that.
- Develop CI/CD pipeline for code testing automation and its deployment into various environments.
- Develop tools and framework to automate operational tasks, deployment of machines, services, applications.
- Perform root cause analysis of critical business and production issues.
- Develop and mentor other Automation Engineers on standard methodology from Infra orchestration and troubleshooting application service in production.
- Review and test code for the automations developed by peers.
Experience
- Expertise in developing automations with frameworks like Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience in DevOps, Site Reliability or Infrastructure engineering.
- Strong knowledge in Linux/Windows and Network.
- Proficiency in writing code with any programming/scripting language like Python, shell scripting to automate tasks.
- Familiarity with CI/CI tool like Jenkins and source control management tool like github, bitbucket etc.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex distributed systems handling high volume transactions.
- Strong fundamentals in HTTP including HTTP headers and web servers
- Experience in writing code involving multiple tools and platforms.
