Azure Data Engineer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Data Engineer (SA2 level) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data solutions on Azure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data engineering solutions, while also leading a small team and ensuring efficient project delivery.
Key Responsibilities/(Person specifications):
- Design and build scalable, robust data pipelines on Azure
- Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks
- Perform data transformation using PySpark and Databricks
- Optimize data processing performance using partitioning and tuning techniques
- Integrate various systems and data sources using APIs
- Develop and implement data quality and validation frameworks
- Troubleshoot and resolve large-scale data-related issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business and technical stakeholders
- Lead and mentor a team of 4–6 members, ensuring timely and quality delivery
- Ensure adherence to best practices in data engineering and governance
Key Skills/ Job specifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud Services
- Expertise in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and ADLS
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python / PySpark
- Experience in building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines
- Knowledge of ERP dataflows and integrations
- Good understanding of data performance optimization techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT (B.Tech / B.E / MCA)
- 6–8 years of experience in Data Engineering with Azure
- Exposure to Alteryx, Power BI, or Microsoft Fabric
- Familiarity with Azure AI services
- Understanding of audit and financial data domains
