Engineering and Data Management teams build and deploy software products for a wide range of financial market clients with a primary focus on the fund data value chain.
Engineering and Data Management is at the center of FE FundInfo and how it delivers investment fund data and advice to global clients. The infrastructure team is the foundation for technical and service delivery, ensuring services for both internal and external customers, ensuring fast, efficient and reliable services.
FE FundInfo is also engaged in the building of software tools, research centers, document production platforms and advanced analytical products for data vendors, institutions and financial advisers enabling them to retrieve and analyze data in forensic detail.
This role is a temporary 12 month contract.
Your key responsibilities as a Senior Backend Application Developer will be to:
- Responsible for designing, developing web-based applications and integrating with related backend systems
- Implement object-oriented principles and design patterns.
- Conducting unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
- Ensure a high standard of work through clean coding habits and code reviews.
- Assisting in deploying the software to production environments and ensuring its smooth integration with other systems
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
To join us as a Senior Backend Application Developer you will need the following experience and skills:
- You must have 5+ years of experience with designing and developing applications using C#, Azure, .Net
- You must have 5+ years of experience in writing advanced SQL queries, stored procedures and views
- You must have 5+ years’ experience in web technologies including JSON/XML, WebAPIs, RESTful APIs
- You must have 3+ years of experience using Agile development processes (e.g. developing and estimating user stories, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, etc.)
- You must have 2+ years developing applications on Service Oriented Architecture
- You must have 3+ years of Kafka engineering experience with design, development, and management of Kafka-based data pipelines
- You must have 3+ years of experience with cloud technology like Azure or AWS (Azure Functions, Durable Functions, web apps, SQL paas database …)
