About the Role:
LMArena is looking for a Lead Brand Designer to establish the creative foundation for how our brand is seen and experienced — by our community, customers, and the AI industry at large. This is a foundational role: you’ll be the first dedicated brand designer, responsible for building our design system from the ground up and shaping the creative culture of the company.
You’ll lead the development of a brand identity that feels credible, community-driven, and innovative — capturing both the scientific rigor and human energy behind LMArena. Your work will influence everything from product visuals and educational content to launch campaigns, events, and investor communications.
This is a rare opportunity to build a globally visible brand at the intersection of AI, research, and community.
What you'll do:
Create compelling, thoughtful design assets across web, product, video, social, events, and print.
Develop and scale LMArena’s brand identity, guidelines, and design system — ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
Translate complex technical ideas into simple, engaging, and digestible visuals.
Collaborate with product, marketing, and leadership to craft the creative narrative that carries across campaigns, launches, and public moments.
Partner with freelancers, agencies, and vendors to uphold design quality.
Contribute to shaping LMArena’s design culture and help grow a world-class creative team.
You may be a good fit if you have:
5+ years of brand design experience (in-house, agency, or freelance).
Deep expertise in visual identity, illustration, and storytelling.
Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
A strong point of view on design and the ability to balance trends with originality.
Experience with design systems and working closely with product and engineering partners.
Startup experience — comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
Bonus Skills (not required):
Experience building or evolving a brand at an early-stage company.
Motion design and video editing skills.
Web design or data visualization experience.
