Role Overview - Senior Business Intelligence Engineer - Hyderabad, India
Nasuni is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to own and evolve our operational analytics ecosystem. This role is responsible for designing high-impact Tableau dashboards and metrics, governing our analytics platform, and serving as a trusted analytics partner across the business.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of hands-on analytics delivery, platform ownership, and stakeholder partnership. You will balance speed with scalability, ensure metric integrity across teams, and play a key role in enabling reporting continuity during ongoing CRM migration efforts.
This role is not intended for candidates focused solely on ad-hoc reporting or isolated dashboard development without platform ownership.
Level & Scope Definition
- Full ownership of operational Tableau dashboards and metric definitions
- Independent decision-making on metric design, dashboard architecture, and Pulse usage
- Authority over Tableau administration, security, and governance
- Execution-focused with strong judgment, not a people-manager role
- Regular collaboration with Analytics Engineering, RevOps, Product, CX, and GTM teams
- Expected to proactively identify gaps, risks, and opportunities in operational reporting
Key Responsibilities
Operational Dashboards & Metrics
- Own and manage Nasuni’s operational Tableau dashboard repository
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance dashboards
- Establish and enforce best practices for dashboard reuse, documentation, and lifecycle management
- Build and maintain Tableau Pulse metrics, applying clear judgment on when Pulse is appropriate versus full dashboards
- Ensure consistent metric definitions and data integrity across operational reporting
- Partner with analytics engineers to write and optimize complex SQL queries supporting dashboards and metrics
- Support CRM migration initiatives by enabling reporting transitions, managing change, and supporting stakeholder adoption
Stakeholder Partnership
- Serve as a senior analytics partner across CX, Product, Engineering, and GTM
- Lead structured requirements-gathering processes, including interviews and documentation
- Translate complex business needs into scalable analytical solutions
- Set clear expectations on scope, timelines, and tradeoffs
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships through regular check-ins and iterative delivery
Tableau Administration & Governance
- Own Tableau platform administration, including user provisioning and permissions
- Design and manage role-based access and row-level security
- Ensure sensitive data is protected while enabling appropriate self-service access
- Monitor Tableau usage, performance, and adoption to maintain a trusted analytics environment
Must-Have Qualifications
- Extensive hands-on experience building and maintaining Tableau dashboards at scale
- Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex, performant queries
- Proven experience owning metric definitions and ensuring data integrity
- Experience administering Tableau, including security and access controls
- Experience working with Snowflake
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior stakeholders and lead structured requirements gathering
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting CRM-driven analytics and reporting migrations
- Experience in a SaaS B2B environment
- Familiarity with Salesforce Service Cloud and Jira
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience using dbt and Fivetran
- Track record of improving analytics governance and self-service adoption
- Experience balancing rapid delivery with long-term scalability
Experience Guidelines
- 8+ years of total analytics or business intelligence experience
- Significant recent experience with Tableau in a production environment
- Meaningful experience supporting operational or CRM-driven reporting
