About the Role
The Senior Configuration Business Analyst captures, documents, evaluates, and translates client requirements into functional and technical solutions for Alight's claim systems. They advise clients on best practices, configure systems, and perform comprehensive testing before implementation.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing client leave and disability policies, documenting client requirements, and translating needs into the business requirements documents. Writing clear and concise business requirements ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, comprehensible, feasible, unambiguous, traceable, and verifiable
- Identifying process gaps or risks and providing Alight best practices, and data-driven solutions to the client. Leading the client through the Alight claims system including workflows and system demonstrations.
- Discussing employee and employer communications and obtaining redlines and client approval; implementing and configuring agreed upon versions.
- Conducting and improving test matrices, executing test scenarios, addressing configuration gaps, resolving issues, and securing client approval for user acceptance testing. Managing development tickets, client standups, and defect fix support.
- Maintaining accurate and timely delivery commitments in project tracking tools approved by management. Aligning custom configurations and development to the Alight development release schedule.
- Improving existing internal processes by studying current practices, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending efficient solutions. Collaborating with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting enterprise-level analysis responsibilities including planning and scoping interdependent activities and leading senior business stakeholders to make informed decisions.
- Demonstrating a deep understanding of the business and business process, including building great partner relationships with key business stakeholders.
- Leading and supporting the efforts of other business analysts including coordination and oversight of the work of other business analysts. Providing strategic consultative leadership to drive solution design decisions, prioritization tradeoffs, and stakeholder alignment.
- Influencing feature-level vision and shapes deliverables through successful backlog partnership with Product/Technology.
- Serving as a functional escalation point and ensures timely resolution of issues requiring senior functional engagement.
Requirements
- Possess Bachelor's in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience. Having Leave of Absence and Disability knowledge is advantageous in this role.
- Have experience producing high-quality documentation artifacts (process flows, use cases/user stories, traceability) and working with Agile methodologies. Demonstrate Knowledge in enterprise systems (Workday, Smartsheets, Jama, Jira). Have IIBA CBAP certification or equivalent.
- Demonstrate expertise in stakeholder management, including influencing and negotiation across business and technology leadership.
- Be an organized, analytical problem solver with impressive accuracy, follow-up, and inquisitive skills.
- Demonstrate successful time-management with the ability to work in a busy environment and manage multiple simultaneous priorities.
- Have compelling risk/issue leadership, identifies blockers early, escalates effectively, and drives cross-team resolution.
- Display dynamic written and verbal communication and documentation.
- Be able to take on more complex, high-profile projects that require multiple integrated systems with new customer-specific requirements.
- Demonstrate an ability to proactively manage multiple stakeholders across several departments to agree upon and deploy solutions.
- Have ability to provide consultative direction regarding technology or process solutions to help internal and external stakeholders understand options to meet requirements.

Salary Pay Range
Minimum :
90,000.00 USDMaximum :
