SENIOR CONSULTANT - BI

The Senior Consultant designs, models, maintains and develops ETL/Integration processes leveraging different technologies and techniques, analysis and dashboards. The Senior Consultant interacts with technical administration as expert-level problem solver and develop job skills and knowledge to introduce new techniques and technologies within the company and to perform assignments of increasing complexity. Senior Consultant is also responsible for coordinating all efforts needed to successfully implement the requirements/projects. The senior consultant will be able to develop an end to end solution from gather and transform the data to model and create the front end solution to deliver to end users. 

 

 

 

Responsibilities 

 

Understand the values and vision of the organization and align the activities accordingly 

 

Protect the Intellectual Property 

 

Adhere to all the policies and procedures 

 

Work with other line functions to collect or provide relevant data 

 

Establishing the needs of users and monitoring user access and security 

 

Maintains both back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility for end-users 

 

Maintaining data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act 

 

Writing documentation, including standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata) 

 

Controlling access permissions and privileges, developing, managing and testing security models 

 

Working closely with IT project managers, functional users and other BI and Functional developers 

 

Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff  

 

Design and implement data model to support reporting needs 

 

Develop ETL processes |flows 

 

Develop analysis and dashboards 

 

 

 

Essential Skills 

 

Job  

 

Excellent written and verbal communication, coding skills are essential 

 

Must be proficient in customer relationship management  

 

Must be familiar with the main data manipulation languages and the principles of DWH design 

 

Must understand be updated with latest developments in IT 

 

Must have knowledge of database theory, database design, excellent SQL knowledge is a must 

 

Must have expert level knowledge on BI/Integration tools such as ODI 11g/12c and OBIEE 12c 

 

Must be dynamic, flexible and possess perseverance skills 

 

Exhibit reactiveness and constructiveness at work such as suggesting innovative and pragmatic solutions 

 

Utilize secondary research sources and techniques

Preferred Skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 

 

Experience with Oracle Cloud BI and ETL tools is a plus: Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Business Intelligence Cloud Service, DataSync,BI Cloud Connector Console 

 

Experience with BI Apps and Cloud sources is preferred 

 

Self-motivated, fast learner with the ability to operate independently
