As an SolarWinds Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design, implement, optimize, and manage a comprehensive network and security monitoring infrastructure using SolarWinds modules — NPM, NCM, NTA, SEM, Log Analyzer, and Syslog etc. The SME will play a critical role in ensuring the visibility, performance, security, and compliance of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure
In this role, you will be at the forefront of strategic decision-making, defining sourcing strategies, and selecting providers that align with our customers’ IT and automation strategies. You will be the trusted advisor, accountable for delivering highly complex, multi-disciplined consulting engagements that provide lasting and measurable value to our esteemed customers. Your expertise in prioritizing use cases, conducting ROI and business case analyses, and seamlessly incorporating security and resiliency into future state designs will shape the foundation for success.
You will strategically develop a future state vision and roadmap, revolutionizing the infrastructure and network requirements to meet the ever-evolving needs of both IT and business. You'll be the catalyst for improved performance and productivity, identifying areas where efficiency can be optimized, costs minimized, risks reduced, and performance enhanced. You will capture, prioritize, and analyze technical requirements, both functional and non-functional, ensuring that every aspect of the solution is meticulously crafted to perfection.

Who You Are

Required Technical and Professional Experience

• 6–12 years of hands-on experience with SolarWinds core modules (NPM, NCM, NTA, SEM, Log Analyzer, Syslog, etc).

• Strong expertise in network protocols (SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, ICMP, TCP/IP).

• Proven experience with network devices (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, Fortinet, etc.).

• Solid understanding of Windows & Linux server infrastructure.

• Familiarity with security standards and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• SolarWinds certifications (SCP — SolarWinds Certified Professional).

• Experience with Orion API / SWIS / REST APIs.

• Knowledge of PowerShell or Python scripting for automation.

• Experience integrating SolarWinds with other ITSM or SIEM platforms (ServiceNow, Splunk, etc.)

• SQL Server administration experience (SolarWinds backend).

• Cloud monitoring (Azure, AWS) via SolarWinds modules.
