About the role:
Due to expansion and continued global growth, we are seeking a Senior Controller to lead and strengthen our accounting operations based in Pune, India. This role will be responsible for overseeing the global accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with US GAAP and relevant statutory requirements.
Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Controller will play a key leadership role in managing the month-end close process, maintaining the integrity of financial systems, and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate and timely financial reporting. The role will also be responsible for optimizing financial processes and leveraging our ERP platform, Sage Intacct, to improve efficiency and scalability as the company continues to grow.

Your Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the global accounting function, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with US GAAP
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and accounting procedures
- Own the integrity, configuration, and optimization of the Sage Intacct financial system
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages for executive leadership
- Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
- Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and global regulatory obligations
- Partner with FP&A and senior leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic planning
- Drive process improvements and automation across the accounting function to support business scalability
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition, and financial reporting accuracy
- Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team, providing leadership, coaching, and mentorship
- Support global expansion initiatives including entity setup, compliance, and financial infrastructure
- Partner cross-functionally with operational teams to ensure financial alignment and business performance visibility
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with leadership responsibility in a global organization
- Strong expertise in US GAAP accounting standards and financial reporting
- Experience managing accounting operations within a multinational or global technology company preferred
- Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct ERP system strongly preferred
- Experience managing external audits and regulatory compliance
- Proven experience leading and developing finance teams
- Strong analytical and financial systems expertise
