General Summary
The role is part of core Operational function of the organization, involved in handling and processing large volumes of data from clients in RGA systems. The role will provide information & reporting to downstream stakeholders to help them meet their requirements. High adherence to SOPs is required, to ensure the department is able to meet it’s overall goals. The incumbent will be required to work within small teams and use tools & techniques to analyze information, report on trends and resolve discrepancies.
Key Responsibility
Premium and Claims Processing
Understanding treaty requirements, pricing parameters and various data fields requirements for Premium Data processing
Configuring premium parameters in system for data processing
Performing Data quality checks and trend assessment before data processing and building business intelligence for data monitoring linking it to business expectation
Processing of premium data ensuring premium rate validation
Regular interaction with clients for premium rate and data quality related observations and drive continuous improvements
Processing of claims data received with necessary inforce checks, duplicate claim validation and other process checks
Developing controls on referral claims booking and ensuring that trend assessments are done for claims being reported
Ensuring Timeliness of processing with continuous engagements with client and within the team
Regular tracking of unprocessed data files, ageing analysis and ensuring that necessary actions are taken to expedite processing
Technological and Sustainability
Development of tools for monitoring data quality and internal controls using technology
Continuous process Improvement using technological solutions (AI and Reporting tools)
The system configuration for the new products, treaties and clients for accurate accounting and reporting
Automate control checks used for data processing
Develop tool to work on Blue Book reporting analysis part so that if any queries will be raised can be answered in effective manner.
Interaction with IT & Business Analyst teams for system enhancements, including user acceptance testing
Maintain documentation on the processes that map client data to the common formats ensuring consistency across clients and Reinsurance Administration systems.
Support the Manager Reinsurance with data compliance requirements & documentation of operations procedures to adhere to SOX process controls and regulatory requirements.
Project Management and Reporting
The role requires recurring IT and Process projects to be undertaken and completed in a timebound manner. This requires detailed process understanding of reinsurance administration process.
Developing standard reporting templates for business monitoring, quality control, data monitoring and other stakeholder requirements
Development of Power BI dashboards for functional reporting
Cross Functional Interactions
Understanding the reporting needs of various stakeholders and designing and automating these reports
Understanding the configuration needs from treaty, pricing and BD team
Effective communication with stakeholders for closure of impending issues and designing solutions
Education and Experience
University Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology or Software Engineering
5-7 years of work experience in Life Insurance Industry. candidates with Reinsurance Experience are highly preferred
Skills and Abilities
Keen sense of data management
Knowledge in SQL and/or PL/SQL and eagerness to learn and manage large relational databases.
At ease in managing large Microsoft Excel files, scripting, validation and automation.
Creativity and keen interest in business process automation and Visual Basic Macro development
Client focused and self-starter, driven in pursuit of targets.
Interest in the insurance industry
Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects.
Autonomy, accuracy, attention to details
Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritize tasks.
A positive attitude to dealing with people, shares openly and willingly, demonstrates accountability.
Ability to gather proper information and demand training when needed
