Skills and Qualifications:
Role JD-
BA- (40%)+DA (Data quality+ Data mapping /Data lineage/Data dictionary )(60%) for data quality investigation and remediation work which includes but not limited to –
- Investigation and root cause analysis of the data quality issues involving reaching out to the business and systems teams (including upstream)
- Identifying proposed solution in consultation with the business and systems teams
- Coordinating the process of detailed solution design, change requests, implementation of fixes and testing carried on by business and system teams
- Preparing high quality papers, change requests, meeting notes in the whole process
- Desirable (but not mandatory) – End to end ownership of the data quality issues and relationship management with the relevant stakeholders
Skills and knowledge required
- Business Analysis
- Investigation and Root cause analysis
- Relationship management
- Documentation skills – high quality papers, change requests, meeting notes, AS-IS / TO-BE diagrams, MS Visio tool experience
- Technical acumen on how data flows through various systems and platforms and is transformed using derivation logics
- Basic knowledge of SQL and data tables (should be able to quickly understand how to query data from SAS tables and tools) ETL Knowledge (Informatica)
- MS excel – at minimum should be able to quickly run vlook-ups, pivots and other basic functions for a quick analysis/reconciliation of granular data
- Desirable (but not mandatory) – knowledge or understanding of IFRS9 / Regulatory Reporting / Stress Testing data attributes and reports; Mifid domain also fine
- Self-driven, eye for detail, keen to investigate and analyse the issues from every aspect, ready to work on the granular data to reach the source of issue
Mandatory Experience
- Should have worked on investigation and remediation of data quality issues.
- Should be able to provide a good practical example of a data quality issue they have worked on.
