What You'll Do

• Work with experienced data scientists and domain experts to apply machine learning algorithms to wireless and wired network data
• Take ownership of existing AI Insight modules in Aruba Central and evolve them according to customer needs
• Validate telemetry data from customer networks and find relevant structure that reveals insights
• Scale machine learning code to run reliably in worldwide production environments
• Monitor deployed machine learning modules

What you need to bring:
Our Minimum Requirements for this role are

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or another data-oriented discipline
• Four to Ten years industry experience as data scientist
• Expert python coder
• Fluent user of Apache Spark
• Working knowledge of data structures (array, maps, trees, stacks, queues) and algorithms (recursion, dynamic programming, backtracking)
• Working knowledge of machine learning algorithms (linear regression, decision trees, random forests, clustering, anomaly detection)
• Descriptive statistics (central tendency, variability, distribution)
• Gen AI - Deep understanding of LLMs and fine-tuning LLMs
• Agentic AI
• Clear technical communication
• Ability and willingness to learn quickly

Additional preferred skills

• Familiar with NoSQL databases, preferably Cassandra
• Familiar with Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Maven
• Statistical inference (hypothesis testing, estimation with confidence intervals, Bayesian inference).
