The Opportunity
We are currently on the lookout for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Design and development of large data processing solutions for one of the world's largest corporations involved in the marketing and distribution of food products.
Identify necessary data elements and their sources, leverage appropriate tools to acquire and consolidate large volumes of data from different internal and external sources, and identify and resolve any irrelevant, corrupt, missing, or incongruent data
Identify and use appropriate advanced analytic tools, technologies and platforms to execute analysis against business requirements, including the ability to scale, deploy and distribute models across the enterprise as needed.
Utilize a range of statistical and machine learning models along with Gen AI to solve complex business problems with precision.
Develop and maintain efficient, high-quality code in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) to contribute to project success.
Apply advanced techniques to clean and preprocess data, enhancing model performance and reliability.
Develop performance scorecards and dashboards to monitor the adoption, implementation, and impact of models and strategies.
Proficiency in deploying machine learning models using docker and cloud services (e.g., AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI), setting up necessary infrastructure like pipelines and batch jobs.Has the ability to setup complicated infrastructure (pipelines, batch jobs, etc.) to automate any stage of an ML model lifecycle.
Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team in an Agile delivery environment.
Manage data science projects end-to-end and mentor junior data scientists, while effectively collaborating with stakeholders to drive actionable insights.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Neuroscience or another technical field with a focus on quantitative research with 2+ years of experience or a Master’s Degree in an equivalent program
Experience in accessing and manipulating data in SQL or NoSQL database environments
Knowledge of scientific scripting languages (e.g., Python) and/or object-oriented or programming (e.g., C++, Java)
An in depth understanding of Bayesian statistics, regression analysis (beyond linear regression), supervised learning, unsupervised learning or time-series analysis required
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Familiarity with working in a Scrum Agile delivery environment
