About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Database Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in database management activities including designing highly complex logical and physical databases
- Lead highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts
- Perform the planning, research, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of server class databases
- Design and implement security solutions including Center for Internet Security benchmarks and auditing
- Design and certify next generation database technologies
- Consult with and advise management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction
- Provide technical leadership and recommendation into the future direction of database technology
- Develop management policies, procedures, standards, and best practices
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Good in Oracle RDBMS architecture, Administration and Troubleshooting
Hands on experience in Backup and Recovery , Disaster Recovery
Hands on knowledge in Clustering, Replication & Tuning Databases
Ability to test new features and document best practices - Knowledge- Good to have scripting, Monitoring tools knowledge
Banking Domain knowledge - Good to have
Knowledge on Cloud and Bigdata architecture
Job Expectations:
- A Senior Oracle DBA will be supporting the databases in Banking Domain. This will include the Engineering, Build Deployment and On call support for Prod, BCP and lower environments like UAT,SIT and DEV. Owns the responsibility of his assigned set of databases and responsible for the uptime of the databases
