Position SummaryScientific Games is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team who can strengthen infrastructure, improve deployment reliability, and help scale secure, high-performing platforms.
In this role, you will work across infrastructure automation, CI/CD, system administration, container platforms, and observability. You will partner closely with engineering and operations teams to improve delivery efficiency, platform resilience, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Build, optimize, and support CI/CD pipelines to improve release quality and speed
- Administer and support Linux-based systems across development and production environments
- Manage and enhance Kubernetes and containerized platforms
- Drive automation across infrastructure, deployments, and operational workflows
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve build, release, and deployment processes
- Monitor system health, performance, and reliability using logging and observability tools
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking, and platform issues
- Support secure platform operations, including secrets management and operational best practices
- Contribute to scalable, resilient, and maintainable DevOps standards across the organization
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and system administration
- Experience with software development practices and continuous integration / continuous delivery
- Strong proficiency in Linux environments
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration concepts
- Solid knowledge of computer networking concepts
- Hands-on experience with tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Argo CD, Helm, Vault, New Relic, and Graylog
- Experience working with AWS cloud services and Azure cloud environments
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Docker Certified Associate
- Experience supporting secure, highly available, and distributed production systems
- Familiarity with modern monitoring, automation, and platform reliability practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
