The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing highly scalable, secure, and resilient AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with deep expertise in advanced Terraform practices. This role will lead the design and execution of sophisticated Kubernetes deployment strategies leveraging Argo CD to enable reliable, automated, and observable continuous delivery.
The role will drive containerization and orchestration standards across the platform, utilizing Docker and Kubernetes to implement advanced scaling, high availability, and workload optimization strategies. In addition, the Senior DevOps Engineer will define and implement enterprise-grade cloud security frameworks, including advanced IAM policy design, large-scale secrets management, and end-to-end vulnerability scanning, remediation, and compliance enforcement across cloud-native environments.
What will you be doing?
- Design and implement complex AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with advanced Terraform.
- Design and implement advanced Kubernetes deployment strategies using Argo CD.
- Lead containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes, including advanced scaling and orchestration techniques.
- Develop and implement comprehensive security frameworks, including advanced IAM policy design, enterprise-scale secrets management, and vulnerability scanning and mitigation strategies.
- Implement robust observability solutions by integrating tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, and ELK Stack for holistic system performance monitoring.
- Develop, maintain, and support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity plans.
- Lead GitOps practices, including version control standards, branching models, and automated release management in Git-based systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline releases and ensure consistency across environments.
- Contribute across the full product lifecycle, including support for products released to market.
- Work within Agile teams and collaborate with Agile coaches and Scrum Masters to grow within the role.
- Education: BS in Software Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent required. MS or PhD in Software Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
- Licenses/ Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Kubernetes certification preferred.
- Experience: Should have a min 3 – 5 years of relavant experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Competences:(Must have)
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Expert-level knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch)
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- CI/CD tools – Argo CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI
- Containerization – Docker, Kubernetes
- IaC tools – Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
- Scripting languages – Bash, Python, Go
- Advanced knowledge of monitoring and observability
