The DevOps Engineer works as an integrated part of a software engineering team with specific focus on facilitating and building automated pipelines for continuous delivery of the team's deliverables with guaranteed production-level quality and supportability.
How will you make an impact?
Infrastructure & Automation
- Design, build, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost optimization.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation and Terraform for automated provisioning and environment management.
- Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions, enabling zero-downtime deployments and faster delivery cycles.
- Automate operational workflows, monitoring, and deployment validation through Python or Shell scripts.
- Implement robust containerization practices using Docker and manage orchestration via ECS.
- Manage configuration, versioning, and integration of infrastructure components using Git-based workflows.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and backup strategies for critical infrastructure.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with development, QA, and product teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and participate in code reviews for pipeline and infrastructure automation.
- Contribute to the evaluation of new DevOps tools, technologies, and methodologies for continuous improvement.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-mortem reviews to drive operational excellence.
Have you got what it takes?
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Cloud: Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, VPC, Route53, IAM, CloudFront, CloudWatch, etc.).
- IaC: Expertise in Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
- CI/CD: Proven experience in building and maintaining pipelines with Jenkins and GitHub Actions/Workflows.
- Containers: Proficiency in Docker, ECS, and image management best practices.
- Scripting: Strong command over Python and Shell scripting for automation and system tasks.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional/ Solutions Architect / Terraform Associate.
