Lead clinical strategy and development of digital health programs focusing on telemedicine, AI solutions, and primary healthcare systems while ensuring clinical protocols are evidence-based and operationally feasible.
This is a remote position.
1. Clinical Leadership & Strategy
- Provide strategic clinical leadership across Intelehealth’s digital health and telemedicine programs
- Guide clinical quality standards and governance mechanisms across programs and geographies
- Support governments and partners in strengthening primary healthcare systems using digital innovations
- Lead clinical strategy for maternal health, child health, NCDs, infectious diseases, and comprehensive primary healthcare programs
2. Clinical Protocols & Decision Support Systems
- Lead development and validation of:
a. Clinical protocols
b. Digital clinical workflows
c. Triage algorithms
d. Referral pathways
e. Clinical decision-support systems - Adapt WHO and country specific national clinical guidelines into digital workflows
- Ensure protocols are evidence-based, clinically safe, and operationally feasible
- Support localization of protocols across different country contexts
3. AI in Healthcare
- Provide clinical leadership for AI-enabled healthcare solutions
- Provide clinical leadership for deployment of AI enabled healthcare solutions.
- Support development of AI-assisted tools such as:
a. Clinical decision support
b. Risk stratification
c. Conversational AI
d. AI scribes Predictive analytics
e. Digital labor room and maternal health solutions - Participate in AI model training, validation, and continuous improvement processes.
- Assist in the regulatory approval process for AI solutions, digital health solutions.
- Support in the government advocacy efforts for adoption of AI and digital health solutions.
4. Digital Health Product Development
- Provide clinical inputs for mobile and web applications
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design user-centric digital workflows
- Support development of telemedicine and EMR systems
- Review product features from clinical safety, usability, and implementation perspectives
- Participate in UAT and product validation
5. Program Design & Implementation
- Support implementation of digital health programs across multiple countries
- Lead clinical capacity-building initiatives for healthcare providers
- Develop training materials, operational guidelines, SOPs, and implementation toolkits
- Support monitoring, quality assurance, and supportive supervision systems
6. Research, Evidence & Innovation
- Provide clinical expertise in designing, implementing monitoring, evaluation research for digital health solutions
- Provide clinical expertise in the publications, documentation of innovations
- Contribute to publications, technical reports, and donor communications
- Support generation of evidence for scale-up and policy advocacy
- Stay updated on emerging trends in AI, digital health, and primary healthcare
Requirements
Educational Qualifications: MBBS required; MD/MS, MPH, or MBA strongly preferred, Dual qualified clinicians (e.g MBBS +MPH, MD +MBA) are strong fit
Experience:
- Active or recent clinical practice; familiarity with India’s primary care and NHM ecosystem
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in:
a. Clinical practice at primary health system
b. Global Public health programs
c. Global Primary healthcare systems - Experience working with governments, NGOs, or global health organizations
- Demonstrated experience in:
a. Clinical protocol development
b. Telemedicine and digital health
c. Clinical decision-support systems
d. AI-enabled healthcare solutions - Experience providing clinical inputs to technology/product teams
- Strong understanding of WHO and national public health guidelines
- Experience in maternal health, primary healthcare, or health systems strengthening preferred
