We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned professional to lead our Ecommerce Delivery Practice, driving excellence in ecommerce solutioning, implementation, operations, and delivery governance across all client engagements. This role calls for a strategic thinker with strong technical depth, delivery leadership, stakeholder management, and a proven track record of scaling ecommerce practices in a fast‑paced digital or media ecosystem.

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
1. Practice Leadership & Strategy
- Define and own the ecommerce delivery practice roadmap, operating model, and capability development strategy.
- Build and scale cross-functional competencies including ecommerce operations, performance commerce, tech implementation, commerce media, and omnichannel enablement.
- Evaluate emerging trends, platforms (Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce, WooCommerce), and martech/advertising technologies to continuously strengthen practice offerings.
2. Delivery Governance & Excellence
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of ecommerce programs across clients, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality execution.
- Establish and enforce delivery frameworks, QA processes, sprint governance, risk management practices, and SLAs.
- Provide escalation leadership and ensure swift resolution of delivery bottlenecks.
3. Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the senior delivery owner for key enterprise ecommerce clients.
- Partner with Business Leads, Client Partners, Media teams, Creative, Performance Marketing, and Technology stakeholders to deliver integrated commerce solutions.
- Drive strategic conversations on ecommerce transformation, platform enhancement, conversion optimisation, and omnichannel customer journeys.
4. People Management & Capability Building
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary delivery team of 60 – 80 members.
- Attract, groom, and retain high-performing talent; shape a strong culture of delivery discipline and innovation.
- Partner with HR to define hiring plans, competency matrices, and L&D tracks for the practice.
5. Operational & Financial Ownership
- Own practice-level capacity planning, project allocation, utilisation management and revenue forecasting.
- Enhance commercial models, drive margin improvements, and ensure financial health across ecommerce engagements.
- Drive operational excellence through automation, process optimisation, and best‑practice adoption.
6. Innovation & Growth
- Collaborate with sales/business development teams to shape winning proposals, pitches, and ecommerce solutions.
- Identify and build strategic partnerships with platforms, technology providers, and commerce enablers.
- Drive continuous improvement via new frameworks, tools, accelerators, and integrated commerce playbooks.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10–12 years of progressive experience in ecommerce delivery, digital transformation, or commerce technology roles.
- Proven experience leading multi-market or multi-brand ecommerce programs in a digital agency, media network, consulting firm, or ecommerce organisation.
- Strong knowledge of ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, etc.) and integrations (payment, logistics, analytics, CRM).
- Demonstrated expertise in delivery governance, Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and cross-functional team management.
- Solid understanding of performance marketing, digital media, content operations, martech/adtech ecosystems, and consumer journeys.
- Tools Expertise: Amazon Pi / Perpetua, Helium 10, Hector.ai, Amazon DSP Console, Flipkart FADS, Blinkit Ads Manager, Zepto Ads, Amazon Brand Analytics, Google Sheets / BigQuery
- Exceptional communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
