Position Overview:
Bose Professional is actively looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer with proficiency in embedded firmware development for professional audio applications to join our new and growing team in Mangalore, India.
The ideal candidate is a skilled software developer, with 8+ years of experience in software development using C/C++ programming. From a well-defined set of requirements and within a well-defined software architecture, the candidate shall independently produce high/low level SW design (HLD/LLD), accurately estimate schedules, and implement high quality code in an Agile software development environment.
In addition to being an individual contributor, the candidate shall provide technical leadership to small teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop C/C++ software for embedded systems for our next-gen AV system.
- Provide technical input during backlog pronging and schedule estimation as part of the Agile software development process.
- Ownership of the outcomes for assigned software development tasks leading to final acceptance of the delivered software.
- Write software design documents, participate in code-reviews and fix bugs.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and provide progress updates on behalf of small teams.
- Collaborate with other software and hardware teams during functional integration.
- Work closely with product marketing in understanding the product requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of embedded software development experience with C++.
- Full SDLC experience from design, development, shipping, debugging and support for attest 2 projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and effective communication and collaboration skills across time zones.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in consumer audio and video industry.
- Experience with Linux device driver development.
- Experience with WebSocket, MQTT, GRPC or similar M2M protocols
