We are seeking an Embedded Software Trainer to join our engineering team. This unique role combines technical expertise in embedded software development with a passion for teaching and mentoring others. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and debugging embedded software code, developing training materials, and delivering technical training sessions to diverse audiences ranging from beginners to advanced developers.
A day in the life of our Senior Embedded Software Trainer:- Analyze, review, and debug embedded software code to support internal teams and external customers.
- Create and maintain high-quality technical training content including presentations, tutorials, labs, and hands-on exercises.
- Deliver training sessions on embedded software development, either virtually or in-person, to engineers, partners, and customers.
- Act as a technical advisor and mentor to engineers needing guidance on embedded system concepts and debugging best practices.
- Collaborate with product and application engineering teams to stay aligned with the latest Renesas hardware and software platforms.
- Provide technical feedback to development teams based on customer and trainee interactions.
- Support technical enablement initiatives, documentation, and knowledge base development.
- Sr. Level 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in embedded software development.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and embedded systems.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing and debugging embedded software, including use of tools such as JTAG, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and IDE debuggers.
- Familiarity and development experience with Renesas, NXP, STMicroelectronics, or similar embedded platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Passion for education and mentoring, with the ability to adjust teaching style based on audience experience and background.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
In addition, preferred qualifications include:
- Experience creating technical training materials or online learning content.
- Exposure to real-time operating systems (RTOS), device drivers, and peripheral integration.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python for test automation or tooling.
- Knowledge of standard communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.).
