Senior Enterprise Software Engineer (Salesforce Developer)

We have a great opportunity available for an experienced Salesforce Developer to join Wolters Kluwer Global Business Services at our office in Pune, India.

Wolters Kluwer is a global Top 100 Salesforce client, and we are looking for an experienced Salesforce developer to further build our international team of Salesforce experts. You will work in an international support team, supporting multiple SFDC instances with Sales, Service, Field Service, CPQ, and (Partner) Communities. About the role

As our Senior Enterprise Software Engineer (Salesforce Developer), you will work with various business partners, project managers, functional analysts, system analysts, quality assurance, and production support teams. Activities include troubleshooting, configuration, development, general operations, and maintenance of the various Salesforce platforms and participation in the various European programs we have running in the sales, service, field-service, and CPQ areas.

A prime responsibility will be the role of Copado Release Manager, supporting the developers.

Your key responsibilities

Salesforce:

  • Lead requirements and design review sessions of Salesforce functional and technical modules, including those requiring APEX development.
  • Must have knowledge on Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ. Having expertise on Revenue Cloud Advanced would be an added advantage.
  • Analyze technical specifications and documentation of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
  • Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing: Unit, System, Regression, Load, and Acceptance testing.
  • Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established standards for software development, application integration, and information system performance.
  • Develop and communicate to stakeholders with corresponding documentation of activity performed.
  • Communicate Wolters Kluwer competitive advantages to customers in a compelling and articulate manner, performing speeches, and writing formal presentations.
  • Conduct training and run effective meetings with stakeholders.
  • Prepare on-target project deliverables without heavy supervision.
  • Lead and mentor technical staff whose support is needed to build and/or deploy Salesforce solutions.

Copado:

  • Act as Copado Release Manager, overseeing the release management process and ensuring smooth deployments.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure best practices for committing changes, pull request reviews, and conflict resolution.
  • Support team members with issues regarding commits, promotions, and deployments.
  • Setup and monitor CI/CD processes, identify issues, and propose improvements.
  • Ensure proper alignment of sandbox environments to project needs and help maintain consistency across different Salesforce ORGS.
  • Setup and support the Salesforce CI/CD pipelines ensuring smooth and automated deployment processes.
  • Coordinate and manage the Salesforce release process, including deployment schedules, quality control, and post-release monitoring.
  • Contribute to our internal Knowledge Documentation to promote knowledge and standardized processes.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in documenting and writing functional solution designs and creating detailed technical designs for Salesforce.
  • Minimum of 2-3+ years’ experience in creating Salesforce technical designs, involving configuration setup and coding in APEX.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce functional and technical best practices and methodologies.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in SQL and performance tuning of the same for systems utilizing RDBMS.
  • Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting, and making verbal and written presentations.
  • Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills with attention to details.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience including presentations to senior management, peer groups, and associates.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment demonstrating strong collaboration skills.
  • Salesforce (Advanced) Administrator and Developer certification.
  • Experience with Copado release management and overseeing deployment processes.
  • Good understanding of Git commands, workflows, and different branching strategies.
  • Familiar with Salesforce Metadata structures (Source Format).
  • Hands-on experience with Copado or similar DevOps tools specific to Salesforce to automate deployment, version control, and governance.
