The Senior VMware Aria/vRealize & Automation Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of the VMware Aria/vRealize Suite, which is leveraged for private and hybrid cloud automation. As a vital member of the vRealize Services Team, the role involves continuous monitoring, lifecycle management, upgrades, and the development of automation workflows using vRO, PowerShell, and REST APIs. The engineer will also oversee operational excellence for VMware vRealize/Aria application stacks and support key components including VMware Aria Automation, Aria Automation Orchestration, Aria Operations, Aria Operations for Networks, Aria Operations for Logs, ensuring robust automation, monitoring, logging, and network insights across VMware environments. Primary duties include managing SNOW tickets, assigned projects, along with maintaining and upgrading the Aria/vRealize stack.

The Senior VMware Aria/vRealize & Automation Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of the VMware Aria/vRealize Suite, which is leveraged for private and hybrid cloud automation. Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage SNOW tickets
- Maintain and upgrade vRealize stack
- Build automation workflows with vRO, PowerShell, REST APIs
- Collaborate across infra and dev teams
- Create dashboards, logs, network queries
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- BS's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline or 10+ years of experience in IT related work functions
- Intermediate to high knowledge of VMware vCenter, including routine administration and troubleshooting
- Infra-as-code understanding
- Intermediate to high proficiency with Windows and/or Linux operating systems, including system administration fundamentals
- Proven solid virtualization and cloud background
- Proven PowerShell/Python/JavaScript/REST API skills
- Proven Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, routing, firewall basics)
- Proven solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven exceptional organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience configuring, managing, and maintaining hardware and/or application monitoring and alerting systems and/or 4+ years of experience with at least one component of the VMware Aria/vRealize application stack, such as:
- Aria/vRealize Automation
- Aria/vRealize Orchestrator
- Aria/vRealize Operations
- Aria/vRealize Log Insight
- Aria/vRealize Network Insight
- 4+ years of experience coding any of the following PowerShell, Python, Java, JavaScript
- Solid understanding of VMware infrastructure components and associated product suites
- Solid understanding of REST API fundamentals
- CI/CD tools and ServiceNow integrations
