As a Platform Engineer, you will contribute to the long-term platform architecture strategy, lead key technology initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to build secure, scalable, and high-availability services. - Design, develop, and enhance scalable platform services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Drive platform architecture initiatives aligned with long-term technology and business objectives.
- Build cloud-native applications following API-first design principles, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Design, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs and distributed systems for enterprise-scale applications.
- Review and improve operational processes through automation, monitoring, and engineering best practices.
- Implement robust security, reliability, and performance optimization strategies across platform services.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and drive continuous code quality improvements through refactoring and optimization.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture guidelines, change management processes, and platform roadmaps.
- Work with messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ to build reliable event-driven systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality solutions and improve development efficiency.
- Support cloud deployment, containerization, and infrastructure modernization initiatives using AWS and Docker.
- 5+ years of experience in Java development, preferably within product-based or internet technology organizations.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
- Proven experience designing scalable applications and API-driven platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, Docker, and cloud-native application deployment.
- Strong knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including performance tuning and optimization.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, security, and high-availability architecture.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with experience creating technical documentation and architecture artifacts.
- Self-driven mindset with the ability to lead technology initiatives, influence architectural decisions, and continuously improve engineering practices.
