The Role
Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure – good at providing analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally “figuring it out.” This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.
You’ll be involved early to offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify the technical and timeline risks up front. This means dealing with both client expectations and internal challenges – in other words, there are plenty of opportunities to make a difference, and a lot of people will witness your contributions. In fact, a frequent sign of success for our Infrastructure Specialists is when clients come back to us and ask for the same person by name. That’s the kind of impact you can have!
Lead the enterprise GCP platform strategy, architecture, and operational model
Define, enforce, and evolve IaC and automation standards using Terraform, Ansible, and GCP-native tools
Design and maintain reusable platform modules, templates, and enterprise reference architectures
Lead technical reviews, provide guidance, and make decisions on complex platform engineering challenges
Implement governance, compliance, and security frameworks across GCP using IAM, Organization Policies, VPC Service Controls, and Cloud Armor
Drive enterprise adoption of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and platform engineering best practices
Mentor and advise senior engineers, SMEs, and platform teams on cloud design, architecture, and automation
Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and provide strategic recommendations to improve platform capabilities and efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform services meet business and technical requirements at scale

Required Technical and Professional Experience:
10+ years of Extensive, hands-on expertise with GCP in large-scale enterprise environments
Deep experience in Terraform, including multi-environment, multi-project deployments and reusable module design
Proven experience with Ansible Automation or equivalent configuration management solutions
Expert understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and platform engineering practices
Strong knowledge of GCP core services: Compute Engine, GKE, VPC, Cloud Storage, IAM, BigQuery, Pub/Sub
Experience designing and implementing enterprise cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks
Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and Git-based workflows
Ability to lead enterprise-wide cloud initiatives and influence cross-functional teams
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps roles
Proven track record in large, complex, or regulated enterprise environments
Advanced familiarity with:
GCP Landing Zones, enterprise foundations, and multi-project architecture
Cloud monitoring, logging, observability, and cost optimization practices
Kubernetes (GKE) and containerized workloads
Relevant certifications: Professional Cloud Architect, Professional DevOps Engineer, Terraform
Experience driving Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) or platform engineering initiatives
