The Team:  
S&P Global Commodity Insights empowers organizations to create long-term, sustainable value by providing data and insights for a comprehensive view of the global energy and commodities markets. 

The Impact:  
You will play a crucial role in developing products for the Environmental Solutions group. As Senior Lead, you'll lead, architect, and build the front-end for the MetaRegistry platform, helping to define enterprise and application architectures, APIs, information models, and interoperability frameworks while managing technology.

Responsibilities:  

  • Provides leadership in the execution and delivery of technology solutions to support business applications.   

  • This includes leading and coordinating activities throughout development, ensuring the appropriate use of standard models and software packages, as well as standard methods of integration and the development of standard application services. 

  • Ensure that the best development processes and technologies are used in the design, construction, and implementation of applications. 

  • Ensures timely delivery of the application development projects without compromising the quality and performance of the system 

What We’re Looking For 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors/master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent.  

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience 

  • Experience in developing reusable components for UI development using ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, and CSS, along with a strong knowledge of React-Redux.  

  • Experience with front-end platform capabilities and APIs  

  • Possesses good experience working with REST APIs using GraphQL, Swagger, and OpenAPI is a plus. 

  • Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test-driven development  

  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases  

  • Expertise in building event-driven, scalable & resilient systems 

  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success, while choosing the proper methodologies and policies to support broad business goals  

  • Experience in the Carbon markets, ESG data, or registry-based ecosystems domain is a plus. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity and/or enthusiasm with Data Science / Machine Learning is a plus. 

  • Experience working in cloud computing environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
