The Opportunity:
We have a new opportunity for a Senior Manager Financial Planning and Analysis to join our Corporate FP&A team. This position is critical and supports top management of the company, including Corporate Controller and CFO, and is ideal for someone seeking broad corporate finance experience. We’re looking for a highly motivated individual who will lead the Corporate FP&A function to drive to be best in class in terms of planning and analysis, continuously drive to make improvements, challenge the status quo, and help to move the organization forward through execution of timely and high-quality financial planning and analysis framework.
This position is located in our Corporate Headquarters in Abbott Park, IL.
What You'll Do:
This individual will lead and coordinate the P&L consolidation for Total Abbott, including rolling forecast and annual Plan/Target process. This role is also responsible for forecasting and analysis of foreign currency exchange, month-end analytics support, ad-hoc scenario analysis, including preparation and analytics for earnings releases and executive presentations.
- Lead the forecast and plan consolidation processes, including development of requirements and ensure all deliverables are met on time and with high integrity
- Perform preparation and analytics of the P&L, currency exchange, specifieds and shares
- Prepare executive materials, including supporting analytics and insights to forecast changes
- Consolidate comparable sales by business, identifying anomalies and trend breaks for review by Sr. Management
- Prepare quarterly Earnings Release Ongoing and GAAP P&L and analysis as the foundation for quarterly guidance
- Support Investor Relations and Tax in preparation of the Earnings Release
- Analyze exchange forecast, including impact of hedged and unhedged currencies, and perform ad-hoc analytics working in close collaborating with Treasury and Economics teams
- Create sustainable and efficient FP&A processes in the Divisions and at Corporate by leading standardization and ongoing process improvements
- Prepare executive presentation materials, including analytics and key insights to Senior Management
- Prepare Disclosure/10K/Q supporting materials for Corporate Controller
- Ensure proper integration of deals/divestitures
- Manage, coach, and develop 3 finance professionals
Required Qualifications:
- Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree – BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- This position requires 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience with a minimum of two years supervisory experience
- Experience in a planning role with broad reach and scope is preferred
- Candidate must possess strong system skills (e.g. Excel, Power Point) with ability to learn systems quickly. HFM/Essbase experience preferred.
- Requires strong analytical and modeling skills
- Must have effective communication skills with all levels of management
- Strong organization skills, self-starter, with ability to multi-task and work under pressure and tight deadlines
The base pay for this position is
$127,300.00 – $254,700.00
