As a Sr. Manager, Platform & Architecture you will lead the definition, governance & continuous evolution of the enterprise data architecture vision and roadmap, ensuring strong alignment with business strategy and digital transformation goals. This role is accountable for establishing modern, secure, and scalable data platform architectures that enable advanced analytics, AI/ML, generative AI, and self service data capabilities across the organization.
You will provide strategic leadership in embedding AI into the enterprise data platform, enabling use cases such as predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and generative AI, while ensuring responsible AI practices, model governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance.
The role requires deep expertise in data architecture, cloud data platforms, analytics ecosystems, and platform security, combined with strong people and stakeholder management skills. You will guide the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, oversee PoC initiatives, and drive the operationalization of AI/ML and GenAI solutions.
Working closely with data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, security, and business leaders, you will ensure the delivery of trusted, high performing, and future ready data and AI platforms that scale with organizational needs.
What you'll do:
Strategic Leadership & Architecture Vision- Define and own the enterprise data architecture vision and roadmap aligned with business strategy.
- Establish architectural principles, standards, and best practices across data modeling, integration, metadata, and analytics
- Guide architectural decisions to support scalability, performance, security, and future growth.
- Evaluate and approve new data technologies, platforms, and tools
- Lead, mentor, and manage data modelers & architects, platform engineers and data engineers
- Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and support career growth and skills development
- Ensure effective workload planning, prioritization, and resource allocation
- Promote a culture of collaboration, documentation, and architectural discipline
- Design and oversee end to end data architectures, including ingestion, storage, processing, analytics, and consumption layers
- Define scalable patterns for batch, near real time, and streaming data processing
- Establish standards for data platforms, ingestion frameworks, transformation and modeling approaches, and BI/visualization tools
- Ensure platform reliability, performance, scalability, and cost optimization
- Architect platforms with security by design, including IAM, RBAC, data encryption, masking, and auditing
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet regulatory and data privacy requirements
- Define and enforce data governance standards, including metadata management, lineage, data quality, and observability
- Support platform monitoring, availability, and operational excellence
- Enable advanced analytics use cases, including forecasting, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis
- Support data science and analytics teams by designing architectures for ML pipelines, feature stores, and model deployment
- Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives to evaluate new data, analytics, and platform tools
- Assess emerging technologies for scalability, security, integration, and business value
- Drive the self-service analytics strategy to empower analysts and business users
- Design curated, governed data layers and semantic models for trusted self-service access
- Reduce dependency on IT by enabling reusable data assets and standardized analytics frameworks
- Partner with stakeholders to align data products with business needs
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 10 - 15+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or platform architecture roles
- Strong experience designing and implementing modern data architectures and cloud data platforms.
- Hands-on and architectural experience with:
- Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse/data lake experience
- Tableau or similar BI tools
- Fivetran or equivalent ingestion tools
- dbt or similar data transformation frameworks
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with advanced analytics, forecasting, and predictive modeling.
- Knowledge of ML/AI platforms and MLOps concepts.
- Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in large-scale or enterprise Data & Analytics environments.
