Role Overview

The SEO Manager will own the organic growth strategy for IK India Region. This role requires strong analytical, technical, and strategic acumen, someone who can drive lead generation via SEO with strong project management skills, align with shifting landscapes of AI-driven search, and ensure our content and platform remain future-proof.

This is not just traditional SEO; we need a thinker who can work backwards from AI-powered discovery models, answer-based search, generative search, and conversational SEO trends, bridging today’s tactics with tomorrow’s search ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • SEO Strategy & Execution
    • Develop and execute a growth-oriented SEO strategy across India markets.
    • Drive measurable improvements in organic traffic, lead generation, and conversions.
    • Implement scalable on-page, technical, off-page, and semantic SEO strategies.
  • Project Management & Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Own end-to-end SEO project management and execution—from strategy, planning, and implementation to monitoring and optimization.
    • Handle coordination with tech, product, content, data, and marketing teams to ensure smooth execution of SEO roadmaps.
    • Translate business requirements into actionable SEO initiatives, balancing technical implementation with business outcomes (lead-gen, conversions, pipeline impact).
    • Drive accountability through clear workflows, deadlines, and measurable deliverables across teams.
    • Act as the bridge between marketing, product, and engineering to prioritize and execute SEO projects effectively.
  • Future-Proof SEO (AI / LLM / AEO / GEO Optimization)
    • Optimize content for answer engines (AEO), generative search models, and conversational AI-driven discovery platforms.
    • Build strategies that integrate semantic search, vector search, and LLM adaptation for future visibility.
    • Stay ahead of Google’s Search Generative Experience (SGE) and equivalent upcoming transformations.
  • Analytics & Insights
    • Build SEO dashboards, KPIs, and reports using GA4, Looker Studio, etc.
    • Translate data into actionable insights, balancing rankings/traffic metrics with business outcomes (leads, conversions, revenue impact).
  • Thought Leadership
    • Keep track of the latest in SEO, AI-search adaptation, voice interfaces, and multimodal search.
    • Experiment, test, and develop best practices in this new frontier of search.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of proven experience in SEO management (preferably with exposure to the larger India/Asian markets).
  • Strong technical SEO expertise with CMS (WordPress), site architecture, schema markup.
  • Advanced analytical skills, comfortable with data interpretation, modeling, and KPIs tied to lead-generation outcomes.
  • Track record of SEO-driven business growth with B2C or EdTech companies.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of AI/LLM impact on SEO including AEO, SEO for SGE, generative optimization, GEO & CEO.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage external agency partners, internal stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Business acumen, able to align SEO roadmaps to pipeline, revenue, and growth priorities.

  • Exposure to EdTech / Online Learning industry
  • Experience with AI tools for SEO automation and optimization.
  • Understanding of global multi-market SEO strategy
