Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Chennai, IN)

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Anexciting opportunity and are seeking a versatile Senior Manager, Software Engineering to develop cutting-edge software solutions to optimize our business operations. In this role, your duties will include supervising junior software developers, analyzing software performance and configuration systems, and managing the deployment and integration of new software. You will also be required to hire new software developers. The ideal candidate for this role is expected to work collaboratively across functions, system architecture domain experts and external partners to incorporate system level understanding into decomposition of user and stakeholder needs and is someone who can display high levels of emotional intelligence.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

• Provide oversight and leadership to a team of developers and software engineers to ensure timely execution of team and project deliverables
• Establish and maintain productive working relationships with business partners and project teams
• Work with the lead architects and subject matter experts (SME) across the organization to ensure consistency and alignment
• Oversees the development, implementation and execution of multiple projects ensuring scope and schedule are established for projects
• Maintain up-to-date skills in software development technologies and a broad understanding of the business, business needs, and how applications/assets drive and support the business
• Responsible to hire, mentor and lead multiple software engineering teams
• Keep Managers accountable, developing their professional growth
• Provide mentorship, career development, performance feedback and complete performance evaluations for team-members
• Be responsible to Identify and communicate risks to stake holders and come up with work arounds or alternatives which includes providing options for designs using prototypes

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Required

• Bachelor's or Masters or PHD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 20+ years of overall experience which includes at least 5 years of management experience within software development projects

• At least 8 years of API and 8 years of Java development experience
• 5+ Years' experience in Agile / SAFe based software delivery
• Familiarity with multiple database technologies including RDBMS, NoSQL, and Hadoop
• Experience developing user interfaces using current web based technologies (ReactJS, Javascript, Node,JS)
• Should have excellent interpersonal skills and advanced communication skills
