ISS STOXX is growing! We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Mumbai, India.
Overview:
The Senior Network Engineer will help lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive network and telecommunications services strategy for the firm. Will provide energetic, creative and imaginative leadership of the network engineering services program.
Evaluate, design, and maintain comprehensive, integrated, reliable, high-quality network services for the firm in areas such as backbone and local area networking, network facilities and infrastructure, Internet access for all regional offices, high-performance networking, network security, remote access for internal users, and telecommunications.
Work with complex network and storage environments including SAN, clustering, load balancing, multi-site VPNs, IPS, and firewalls.
Analyze network characteristics (e.g., latency, transmission speeds, packet loss and throughput), triage and troubleshoot problems.
Monitor network performance and provide security measures, troubleshooting, and maintenance, as needed.
Acquire, maintain, and report on data related to network performance management, capacity planning and utilization trend analysis.
Collaborate with other functional IT areas to ensure that IT best practices, policies, and procedures are adhered to. Provide technical support for staff issues.
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
7+ years of designing and implementing a highly reliable, global, and comprehensive network architecture.
Experience in setup, configuration, and maintenance of networking infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPN technologies, SD-WAN, and other WAN administration.
Strong knowledge of IP Network Management and protocols: IPv4 and IPv6, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, L2/L3 VPN, QoS and Security.
Manage and optimize Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, Fortinet SD-WAN, and FortiNAC environments.
Experience in Software Defined Networking SD-WAN, SDN Automation.
Hands-on experience setting up networks and all related supporting infrastructure (routers, firewalls, switches, load balancers, wireless etc)
Deep understanding of network technologies and provisioning
Experience with 3rd party monitoring tools and analyzers.
Collaborate with Application Management, cloud, and application teams on cross-functional projects.
Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and automation scripts.
Knowledge of TCP/UDP protocols/services is required, including deep analysis of network packet captures using Wireshark and TCPdump.
Experience in troubleshooting and performance management of Datacenter Infrastructure Network.
Dive deep into the high severity incidents, recommend preventive solutions and participate in root cause analysis.
Knowledge of AWS/GCP is a plus.
Certifications in Cisco and other networking technologies are a plus
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
Excellent communication skills, both in technical and non-technical terms
Ability and willingness for on-call and after-hours work
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Expert-level knowledge of:
Fortinet SD-WAN and FortiNAC
Cisco switching (Layer 2/3)
Zscaler ZIA/ZPA
Strong understanding of Zero Trust, segmentation, and secure access.
Experience with automation (Python, Ansible) and monitoring tools.
Relevant certifications (e.g., NSE 7, CCNP/CCIE, Zscaler Certified Architect) preferred.
