Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: Mumbai
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Technical Responsibilities:
• Configuration and troubleshooting of a variety of network protocols such as IPsec VPNs, Cisco AnyConnect, BGP, VoIP, etc.
• Configuration and installation of network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
• Collaboration with systems teams to maintain network monitoring software
• Interfacing with vendors for purchasing and ongoing support
• Collaboration with other members of the IT team regarding network design
• Technical documentation and network diagram creation
• 24x7 production support: participation in on-call rotation, understanding of mission critical systems support and how to “hand-off” in a 24x7 model
• Project work: design, architecture, and optimization of the global network
• Integration with vendors for ongoing support
• Integration with other members of the IT team regarding network design
• Maintain documentation and network diagrams
• High level of ability administering Cisco networks
• Familiarity with Cisco architectural best practices
• High level of initiative. Ability to work independently in addition to integrating with the team
• Working in a remote team, preferably global
• Strong English skills - conference calls and emails are primary communication
• Working knowledge of overall network computing environment, not just Cisco IOS
• Troubleshooting complex network computing issues, ability to isolate and diagnose complex problems, facilitate collaborative solutions (work with peers to resolve problems)
• Project work, design, architecture, optimization - desirable
Certifications desirable: Cisco CCNP, Juniper
