Job responsibilities
- Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
- Build strong relationships with Product, Technology & Data partners, setting clear expectations and providing excellent written and verbal communication
- Understands the payments domain, and competitive landscape to be able to contribute towards initiatives and features to prioritize
- Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience
- Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and data insights to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features and contribute to product discovery activities
- Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
- Understands Agile methodologies, planning and prioritization, stakeholder management, risk management and operations
- Manage dependencies, including inside and outside of product area
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 6+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Experience in banking and payments domain with strong understanding of Agile framework, tools and practices, eg: JIRA
- Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle
- Ability to work with cross functional teams in a matrix environment
- Knowledge of data analytics and data literacy
- Curious mindset, promoting critical and outside the box thinking with attention to detail.
- Flexible to change, with an ability to quickly learn new processes and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity of Machine learning concepts and algorithms
- Understanding of data and analytical tools
- General knowledge of cloud platforms, eg: AWS
- Experience in mainframe tools and technologies
- Ability to think critically about data models and communicate findings effectively
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
